Thanks to our distributor in Germany, Gronard GmbH, two Clorofilla Basic stations have become part of the new multifunctional hubs created in Munich as part of the NEBourhoods Together program.
This is an initiative of the New European Bauhaus, funded by the European Union and carried out in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Its aim is to propose new forms of citizenship.
In line with the three principles of the New Bauhaus—beauty, sustainability, and inclusion—the goal is to contribute to realizing the objectives of the European Green Deal through collaboration between creatives, citizens, and experts.
The urban hubs created in Munich serve to promote community interaction and are spaces available to citizens, equipped for borrowing books and useful everyday items. With racks for traditional bikes, cargo bikes, and adaptive bikes, they aim to encourage two-wheeled mobility for everyone, while the presence of a Clorofilla Basic station allows for small maintenance tasks.
For now, this is a one-year pilot project. The hubs were recently inaugurated with a day of street art, dance, and workshops, and on September 13, they will be visited by local and European Union politicians.
For Clorofilla, this is further evidence of the brand’s ability to meet the needs of both the present and future. For Lorenzo Buratti, the brand’s founder and designer of the entire line, design holds great value due to its ability to harmoniously and intelligently combine aesthetics and functionality, following the fundamental principle of the historic Weimar school.
Buratti’s passion for design goes back a long way and has led him over the years to achieve recognition and fame with his custom motorcycles and furniture inspired by the world of two wheels. Seeing one of his Clorofilla products featured in a project created to revive the school that gave rise to the modern concept of design feels like a full circle, opening up a new era of creativity in the service of people.
